How does Orth-k work?
Think of your cornea as the eye’s front-and-center focusing powerhouse—a clear, dome-shaped window that bends light to hit the retina just right. It’s made of flexible tissue, which is what makes Ortho-K possible. Using a corneal topographer (a fancy light-reflecting device that never touches your eye), your ophthalmologist creates a detailed map of your cornea’s curves and contours. This map is used to craft a custom lens that fits your eye like a glove—minus the discomfort.
